The Administrative Assistant for the Art and Design Campus at Arapahoe Community College was located in the Interior Design building. The goal for this project was to move her to a more neutral and centralized location on campus, with the space to accommodate a reception desk, a small office/work space and a reception area. The proposed space was designed with the needs of the administrative assistant and students in mind. The overall feel of the space is welcoming and is presented in vibrant, modern colors to highlight the program of study on the Art and Design campus.
The project began with a field measure and creation of an as-is drawing, followed by bubble and block diagrams. Final space and furniture plans were produced along with full furniture specifications. The floor plan was drafted and rendered by hand, with the final perspective created in SketchUp and rendered in SU Podium.
